Billy Durant, founder of General Motors and Chevrolet, created the system of multi-brand-holding companies with different lines of cars. After being kicked out of both GM and Chevrolet, he started Durant Motors in Lansing, Michigan. Here, workers test the brakes one last time before the cars are shipped to dealers across the country.
